Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are actually open and will close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home having a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family money will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to study at a public university click here or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
